The Independence Monument "Ukraine, which flies" is a monument erected in honor of the proclamation of Ukraine's Independence on September 24, 1991, in the city of Kharkiv on Constitution Square. It was strictly opened on June 22, 2012 on the eve of the 21st anniversary of Independence of Ukraine and the Day of the City of Kharkiv.
