Bervi-Flerovskomu, Donetsk

The monument to Berwi-Flerovsky was erected in the Voroshilovsky district of Donetsk in honor of the Russian social scientist, journalist, economist and white-letterist, An ideologist of nationalism, an active member of the public movement of the 1860s-1890s, Vasil Berwi-Flerovsky on his grave, in the public garden, which bears his name.

Bervi-Flerovsky died in Yuzivtsi in January 1918, where he came to his son Fyodor, who worked as a doctor, and lived from 1897 to 1918. In Yuzivtsi before his death he wrote "Critique of the Basic Ideas of Natural Science" and "A Short Autobiography".

In the same grave with him is buried his beloved companion in life Ermiona Ivanivna Bervi, who was reunited with Vasiliy Vasilovich during his stay under arrest in 1861.

Until 1925, the quintar where the Berwi-Flerowski was buried was locked and there was no space left for the burial. In 1925 the vault was closed and a square was built in its place. Of all the graves only the grave of Berwi-Flerowsky was left. The square was named after Vasil Vasilovich. This square was near the third school.

In 1953, an obelisk of polovirovannogo rye granite was placed on the tomb. On the obelisk is a bronze bas-relief of Berwi-Flerowsky and a bronze shrine of oak and laurel leaves. In the central part of the vignette there is a smoloskip symbolizing the will.

In 1981, in connection with the construction of a children's sports complex, the Berwi-Flerowski grates were moved from the third school to the Miskad.
