Karachun is a mountain near the city of Slov'yansk in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. The height of the peak - 167.6 m. On the mountain there is a crude stone frame, and near its foot runs the river Sukhiy Torets. In 1976-1979 on Karachun Mountain was built a broadcasting center with a height of 222 meters, which on the night of June 1, 2014 was destroyed as a result of military operations.

Due to the importance of the strategic importance of the mountain and the television station located on it in the course of the war for Karachun on the territory of Ukraine in 2014, fights between Ukrainian defenders and pro-Russian military formations took place during the months of September-Lepin.
