A group of graves of fighters for the Red Army - a mass burial of people in the middle of Donetsk in the form of a memorial complex. It is located in the Voroshilov district.
The complex is located on the site of the largest burial site in Donetsk of the participants of the 1917 Zhovtnevy coup and the Russian Civil War. There are 26 men buried in 1 mass grave and 4 solitary graves.
In 1957 the order of the group of graves was placed an obelisk of gray polished granite on which is written "To the fighters for the Radyanskiy power". Near the pedestal of the obelisk is a painted spot and a flame of fire. Authors of the building: architects - E. A. Ravin and N. V. Kulikov.
In January 2008, the memorial was defaced by unknown Ukrainian patriots, who painted the "Idea of the Nation" sign on it. Also at this time the monument to Artem was destroyed.
