Facts and practical information
Skelja - granite register - geological nature monument of local importance in Ukraine. It is located in the city of Kremenchutsi, Poltava region, near the river station, on the bank of the Dnieper.
The area of the protected area is 0,05 ha. The memorial was announced by the Decision of the Management Committee of the Poltava regional deputies' council of 24.12.1970, № 555. Residency: Kremenchuk Housing and Communal Department.
It is a stratification of gray biotite-plagioclase medium-grained igneous migmatites of Precambrian age for about 3 billion years. The skeleton is also a valuable water reference, which shows the water level at the time of the Dnieper floods of 1845, 1877, 1888, 1889, 1895 and 1942. On the skeleton you can see the appropriate marks of the floods.
