Monument to Stepan Bandera in Lviv - a monument by the Lviv sculptor Mykoły Nieikary and architect Mychajł Fedyk located on Kropiwnicki Square in Lviv, near the former church of St. Elizabeth.
The monument's design was approved after seven competitions in 2002, construction began at the end of 2003. The official unveiling took place on October 14, 2007, on the 65th anniversary of the UPA. The shelter of the monument was attended by, among others Petro Olijnyk, Myrosław Senyk, Andrij Parubij, Taras Stećkiw and Andriy Szkil, and deputies of the Lviv City Council and the Lviv Regional Council.
The construction of the monument was mostly financed from the administration of the Lviv region.
The monument consists of a 7-meter figure of Stepan Bandera made of bronze and a 30-meter triumph arch behind it. Four columns of the arch symbolize the stages of the history of Ukraine: Ruthenia, Kozaczyz, the period of the existence of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the West Sincere People's Republic and the present. The columns are intended to be covered with symbols of Ukraine and the names of Ukrainian heroes.
