Climate of United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates is one of the hottest countries in the world. They are located on the Tropic of Cancer, in a tropical dry and extremely dry climate zone, so it is hot almost all year round.
Summer lasts from May to September, it's dry and temperatures reach over 40°C, only in the east of the country and mountainous areas it can be a bit cooler. In summer, you can also expect violent north winds (shamal) - causing sand and dust storms.
On the other hand, the coolest period is winter (from December to March), then there is slightly more abundant rainfall (up to about 100 mm per year), and the air temperature is around 20°C.
