Nestled in the heart of Columbus, Ohio, Topiary Park is a unique outdoor museum that offers a blend of horticultural art and cultural enrichment. This living exhibition, known for its sculpted plants and shrubbery, is a serene oasis in the bustling cityscape and a tribute to the art of topiary.

The park is a recreation of Georges Seurat's famous painting, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte," brought to life in a three-dimensional form. It stands as the only known topiary representation of a painting, making it an exceptional destination for both art enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Spanning across seven acres, Topiary Park features meticulously sculpted figures of people, animals, and boats, all crafted from various plant species. The park was established in 1992, thanks to the vision and dedication of local artist James T. Mason and his wife, Elaine. Mason, who designed and executed the topiary frames, sought to transform the Old Deaf School Park into a space that would engage the community and celebrate the intersection of art and nature.

Topiary Park is open year-round and offers a peaceful retreat from urban life. It is a popular spot for photography, picnics, and leisurely walks.
