Wrigley Field, Chicago

Wrigley Field is an iconic sports venue nestled in the heart of Chicago, known as the cherished home of the city's beloved Major League Baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. This historic ballpark, with its classic red marquee at the main entrance, has been a cornerstone of the North Side since its opening in 1914, making it the second-oldest ballpark in the major leagues after Boston's Fenway Park.

Affectionately dubbed "The Friendly Confines," Wrigley Field is renowned for its ivy-covered brick outfield walls, the iconic hand-turned scoreboard, and the intimate setting that allows fans to feel close to the action. The field was originally named Weeghman Park after its first tenant, the Chicago Whales of the Federal League. It wasn't until 1926, when the Wrigley family, known for their chewing gum empire, purchased the Cubs, that the stadium was renamed Wrigley Field.

Despite these updates, the park has faithfully retained many of its classic features, including the absence of a traditional stadium parking lot, leading many fans to enjoy neighborhood street parking or public transportation.
