Los Aleros was conceived and developed by Alexis Montilla, whose vision was to create a space where the traditions and lifestyle of the Andean people from the early 20th century were not just displayed but lived. Spanning an area of 8 hectares, the park is designed to resemble a village from the past, complete with cobblestone streets, colonial-style houses, and a central plaza.

The park's staff, dressed in period costumes, play the roles of villagers, engaging with visitors and demonstrating the customs, trades, and daily activities of the era. From the local barber shop and the traditional bakery to the old-style cantina, every corner of Los Aleros offers an authentic glimpse into the past.

Attractions include a vintage cinema showing black and white films, a church, and a museum displaying artifacts from the 1930s.
