When Is the Best Time To Visit Yemen?
The answer to the question of what is the best month to visit Yemen depends on what you are interested in doing during your stay. Here you can see an overview of each month and its typical weather conditions.
Climate of Yemen
Yemen is located in the tropical-dry climate zone, where rainfall does not exceed 100 mm per year and summer temperatures reach 50°C. However, the varied terrain means that the weather varies greatly from region to region.
The north and northeast of the country is hot, desert-like and almost completely devoid of rainfall. The Red Sea coast is a very humid tropical climate. In contrast, the mountainous areas and the area around Sanaa are of the monsoon variety, and are wetter and cooler than the rest of the country, with summer temperatures around 25°C and winter temperatures around 10°C, with frosts possible at night.
The Socotra archipelago has a desert climate with little summer rainfall in some areas.
