Vinaceous-breasted amazon

The vinaceous-breasted amazon is a magnificent parrot from the Psittacidae family, native to Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. This vibrant bird inhabits subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests, montane forests, and even plantations.

Measuring approximately 30 cm (12 inches) in length, the vinaceous-breasted amazon is a sight to behold. It features predominantly green plumage, accentuated by a striking red forehead, a bluish nape, blue-tinted primary feathers, and a distinctive vinous-maroon breast.

Unfortunately, this captivating parrot is currently facing significant threats. Habitat loss has led to a dramatic decline in its population, rendering it increasingly rare in its natural habitats.
