Peršmanhof, located in Bad Eisenkappel, was a partisan base during World War II. On April 25, 1945, parts of a special unit of the I Battalion of the SS Police Regiment 13 perpetrated a massacre of eleven civilians. Today, the farm houses a museum on the history and resistance of Carinthian Slovenes during the Nazi period.
