Mirnock
Facts and practical information
The Mirnock is an isolated mountain massif in Carinthia, 2110 m above sea level. It is part of the Nockberge mountains and lies between the lower Drau valley in the southwest, Lake Millstatt in the west, the Gegend valley in the northeast and the Kras valley in the southeast. The village of Radenthein borders it to the north, and the formerly independent municipality of Mooswald lay entirely on the broad western or southwestern flank of the mountain. The ridge of the mountain massif also bears two smaller elevations, the Palnock and the Amberger Alpe. The great prominence of the Mirnock is noteworthy, with an embrasure height of 1343 meters.
