Hochobir

Hochobir is the peak in the caravana band in the Alps. It lies in Austria, in Carinthia. It is located between the Drawa Valley in the north and the border with Slovenia in the south. It belongs to the massif called Obir, of which it is the highest peak, hence its name. In 1891, one of the first in the Alps was built at the top of the Metrology Observatory, but it was destroyed during World War II.
