Facts and practical information
The Hohenems Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish burial ground in the Austrian town of Hohenems. The cemetery, like the town's formerly existing Jewish community, has a history of nearly 400 years. It was founded in 1617 with the settlement of the first Jews in Hohenems and, unlike the Jewish Community of Hohenems, which was destroyed during the Nazi period in Austria, still exists today.
