The Salzburg Toy Museum is located in Salzburg in the 16th century building of the historic Bürgerspital next to the Bürgerspitalkirche St. Blasius.
The collection is based on the former private collection of Gabriele Folk-Stoi and Hugo Folk. In addition to toys made of wood, clay, pewter, dolls and dollhouses, paper theaters are a special focus of the Toy Museum.
The museum was opened in 1978 and houses the largest collection in Austria on the history of European toys of the past 250 years. It was reopened in 2011 after a building reconstruction and complete redesign of the exhibition areas.
The Toy Museum is part of the Salzburg Museum.
