Martinsturm, Bregenz
Facts and practical information
The Martinsturm is a former granary in the first courtyard of the Counts of Bregenz in the upper town. It was built in 1601 as a tower with loggia, each with three arched arcades on columns and stone parapet, and is crowned by a high curved onion dome with lantern. Meanwhile, the tower is considered one of the landmarks of the Austrian city of Bregenz on Lake Constance. From the top floor of the Martinsturm you have a comprehensive, 360° panoramic view of the city. The Martinsturm also houses an exhibition on the history of Bregenz and that of the building.
