Baeolophus

Baeolophus, commonly known as titmice, is a genus of birds belonging to the Paridae family. These delightful avians are indigenous to North America. Historically, many ornithologists classified Baeolophus within the broader genus Parus. However, the American Ornithological Society has advocated for Baeolophus to be recognized as a distinct genus, a perspective that has since gained widespread acceptance.
