Suikerboon

A suikerboon, or sugar bean, is a delightful confection that holds a special role in celebrating the birth or baptism of a child in Belgium and parts of the Netherlands. In French, these sweets are called dragées. They are quite similar to Jordan almonds and Italian confetti. While suikerboons were originally sugar-coated almonds, nowadays, you’ll often find sugar-coated chocolates in the same shape and size.
