The Museum of Mines and Metal is a Brazilian museum located in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
It is part of the Liberdade Square Cultural Circuit and was inaugurated on March 22, 2010 with an architectural project by Paulo Mendes da Rocha and museography by Marcello Dantas.
It is set in two segments: the Mining Museum, on the first and second floors; and the Metal Museum, on the second and third floors. In all, there are 18 rooms.
It is installed in a 19th century building listed by IEPHA.
The space has the purpose of highlighting the daily and economic importance of minerals and their cultural and social implications.
