Praça Ramos de Azevedo is a public square located in the República neighborhood in the center of the municipality of São Paulo, Brazil, famous for housing the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo. The square was created after the inauguration of the Theatro Municipal in 1911, when it was given the name Esplanada do Theatro, and was renamed Praça Ramos de Azevedo after the architect's death only in 1928.
The square is located in the space between Rua Conselheiro Crispiniano and Rua Formosa, in front of and behind the Municipal Theater of São Paulo and under the Viaduto do Chá, next to the Alexandre Mackenzie Building and composes, with such space, a well-known postcard of the city.
