Facts and practical information
The Baekdu-daegan is a mountain-system and watershed-crest-line which runs through almost all of the length of the Korean Peninsula, from Paektu Mountain in the north to the Cheonhwang-bong or "Heavenly Monarch Peak" of Jirisan in the south. It has 13 Jeongmaek or branch-ranges that begin on the mainline range and channel Korea's biggest rivers to the east, west and south seas. ()
