Yong Han Cinema Located at the junction of Beijing Road and Wenming Road in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, it was one of the early cinemas in Guangzhou.
It was built by Hu Junshi in 1927, and was named Yong Han Cinema because it was located on Yong Han Road, and was renamed as News Cinema in 1960, and reverted to its current name in 1986. It was closed on February 23, 2010 for upgrading, with a construction area of 1,644 square meters before closure, including 208 square meters of illegal buildings, the first floor was a street-level store and the second floor was a cinema, with six cinema halls and 380 seats in the main cinema hall. In July 2021 the cinema then completed nearly three months of renovation and transformation, the renovation work is said to use the Lingnan nostalgic style, the top floor also again hung the year of the creation of the cinema and the traditional English name.
