South Central University for Nationalities is a national university located in Hubei province's capital Wuhan, directly under the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of PRC. It is a comprehensive university founded in 1951 and the former name was South Central College for Nationalities. In March 2002, the school adopted the current name. It is one of the six national higher education institutes for ethnic groups in China. ()
