Cyprus International Film Festival

The Cyprus International Film Festival is an annual event held in Nicosia, Cyprus, organized by the Cultural International Festivals organization. Since its inception in 2006, this independent, non-profit festival has emerged as a significant platform for up-and-coming filmmakers from around the world.

What distinguishes this festival is its competitive nature, featuring categories across feature films, short films, animations, video art, dance, music, humanitarian themes, sports, and children’s films. It provides an exceptional opportunity for independent and emerging filmmakers to shine.

A highlight of the festival is the prestigious CYIFF Golden Aphrodite award, alongside several special awards determined by a jury committee. However, the festival is not just about accolades; it also offers a range of seminars, workshops, and conferences aimed at helping aspiring directors hone their craft.
