The former synagogue in Písek from 1872 is located in Soukenická Street. It is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

The synagogue was used for religious services until the Second World War. From 1953 it was used as a warehouse and the prayer room was divided into two floors. Since 1995 it has been owned by the Jewish Community in Prague. In 2005 it was reconstructed with the financial support of the Czech-German Future Fund.
