Facts and practical information
Měnínská Gate is the only preserved city gate in Brno located in Orlí Street near Malinovské Square. Its origins date back to the 13th century, when it formed part of the Brno city walls. After reconstruction in the late 1970s, which adapted the building for exhibition purposes, the Brno City Museum manages the gate building and uses it as an exhibition space. Together with other remnants of the city fortifications, the Měnínská Gate has been protected as a monument since 1964.
