Facts and practical information

Hradiště is a village, part of the town of Znojmo. Originally an independent village, formerly also a town called Hradiště svatého Hypolito, it was annexed to Znojmo in 1920. In the area of the village in the early Middle Ages there was an important highland Great Moravian hillfort, which is now an archaeological site. The territory of the village, which is one of the basic settlement units of the town, is part of the Znojmo central registration district, but has a separate cadastral territory Znojmo-Hradiště.
