Studtenec - a hill in the Mountains of the Lusatian Mountains in the Western Sudetes band, in the Czech Republic.
The mountain is located in the northern Czech Republic, in the area of protected landscape of the Lusatian Mountains Czes. Chko Lužicke Hory, in the southwestern part of the Lusatian Mountains about 4 km northeast of the city of Česká Kamenice, between Studený in the northwest and Lísk in the southeast. According to the Czech division, the hill belongs to the Krkonošsko-Jesenická subprovint.
A characteristic rise of volcanic origin, with a distinct conical shape and steep slopes with a flat peak surface. The hill is the highest in the western part of the Lusatian Mountains and dominates in this part of the mountains. The top is made of metamorphic rocks, and the core of the mountain is a basalt core. The southern and south-eastern part of the slopes, they cover the vast tracts of rock rum in the upper part. Smaller islets of stone debris are also located on the west slope. The hill is known for its sources with extremely cool waters. Szydený stream flows out of the sources located on the north-eastern slope. The peak is covered with an old beech forest with a forest law, the slopes are covered with mixed forest with a predominance of beech. The rocky ground of the mountains in the nineteenth century was overgrown with a magnificent forest with large spreading trees, mostly fir, whose largest specimens exceeded 50 m in height. The most magnificent fir from the description of 1856, was 380 years old, 56 m high and over 2.5 m in the circuit. The remains of the laundry growing up, were protected in the northern part of the mountain since 1906, and in 1965 a VRCH Student Nature Reserve was created on the entire surface of the mountain, in which plant specimens and the original deciduous mixed forest, characteristic of the Lusatian Mountains, are protected. Rocking lines on slopes are a good viewpoint.
