St. Saint. Cyril and Methodius-a Roman Catholic church in the Herczawa commune, in the Moravian-Silesian country in the Czech Republic. It is a branch church of the Corpus Christi parish in Jabłonków.
In the past, the villagers used the church in Jaworzynka, but from 1924, when they found themselves in Czechoslovakia, it was necessary to build a new facility.
The wooden church was erected in the highest place in the village, in 1936, according to the design of engineer J. got, and dedicated on July 5 this year by Stanislav Weissmann. He refers to the local traditions of wooden construction with architecture. Oriented, one -nave. A bunch body with dimensions of 13 m x 7 m, with a seven -sided presbytery closed. Covered with a steep roof with a tower of the signature on the ridge. In the interior, the original, carved baptismal font - the work of the local deafening folk artist Andrzej Zogaty and mass vessels - copies of works stored in the mausoleum of Jan A. Kometers in Naarden. The original altar of larch wood, made at the State Wood School in Valašské Meziříčí, was moved elsewhere. The painting in the altar, depicting the patrons of the church - is a gift of pre -war Czech folk education matrix.
After confiscating the Nazis during World War II, in 2006 a steel bell was hung here from a signature at a Polish school in neighboring Bukowiec.
