Archeopark Všestary

The Archaeopark of Prehistory Všestary is unique in its focus and is the only such comprehensively functioning archaeopark in the Czech Republic. It is intended for the general public, families with children, school excursions, tourists and those interested in archaeology. The aim is to introduce visitors to life in prehistoric times through so-called living archaeology. The methods on which the attraction of the site is based. Illustration is the main means of learning about archaeology here. In addition to around four hundred exhibits such as axes, flint, bronze swords and helmets, Late Iron Age spades, keys, coins and replicas of hundreds of prehistoric objects, visitors can also find caves, graves, mine shafts, interactive boards and a giant model of the landscape. The replicas of prehistoric artifacts are made of stone, glass, copper, bronze, iron and other materials that were used, such as replicas of mammoths. Visitors have the unique opportunity to see the objects in the original form given to them by prehistoric people. Since the University of Hradec Kralove had no archive of the original excavations, it had to make replicas. Therefore, most of the exhibits are not bitten, worn and corroded. However, thanks to the presence of several original exhibits, the visitor has the opportunity to compare how the objects looked originally and after they were found.
