Horšovský Týn is a castle converted into a chateau in the historical centre of the town of the same name in the Domažlice district. It is surrounded on the north and west by a large park in the natural landscape style. On the northern and eastern side there are castle moats. The castle and chateau partly stand on a rocky promontory, under the castle there is a large historical cellar carved in the rock. The monument is administered by the National Heritage Institute and is open to the public, it is one of the most accessible monuments in the Czech Republic. It is protected as a cultural monument and in 1995 was included in the list of national cultural monuments.
