Slatiňany Chateau
Facts and practical information
Slatiňany Castle is one of the most important buildings in the town of Slatiňany in the Chrudim district. Together with the adjacent large park it is located on the western side of the town, separated from the town centre by the Chrudimka River. The chateau has a three-winged ground plan in the form of a U open to the north, with an additional wing extending from the north-west side to the west. The greatest architectural changes took place in the 19th century, when the Auersperg family was the owner.
The chateau and the park are the property of the state and their administration is provided by the National Heritage Institute. The park and the chateau are open to the public.
