The Jewish cemetery in Pohořelice is located about 300 m northwest of Svoboda Square on Tyršova Street. It has an area of 8682 m². The cemetery has been protected as a cultural monument since 1964.
The second Jewish cemetery in Pohořelice was probably founded in the second half of the 17th century and there are 250 tombstones preserved. While older literature mentions the year 1749, younger literature gives the date 1687 or 1676. Burials were made here until the Second World War. During the Second World War the cemetery was devastated by the Nazis, but after the liberation it was repaired. There are a number of valuable tombstones of Baroque and Classicist type.
The Jewish community of Pohořelice ceased to exist in 1938.
