Landštejn Castle stands as a formidable medieval fortress nestled in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. One of the oldest and largest castles in the country, it dates back to the early 13th century. Built by the powerful Witigonen family, the members of the Vítkovci clan, it served as a significant military stronghold and a symbol of the family’s influence.

The castle's most distinctive feature is its twin towers, which are among the best-preserved Romanesque structures in the Czech Republic.
