Climate of Denmark
Denmark is located in a maritime temperate climate zone. The weather is heavily influenced by air masses of Atlantic origin, which not only moderate temperatures, but also increase humidity.
Summers here are warm but not hot, with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 24°C. Winters are mild (-1°C to 2°C), severe frosts are usually absent.
Denmark's climate is characterized by a relatively high amount of rain with not too much snowfall. The average annual precipitation is about 650 mm. Depending on the region, the amount of rainfall varies somewhat. The rainiest area is the Jutland peninsula - close to 800 mm and the Zeeland region - 500 mm - 550 mm, while the driest area is around the Great Belt - 450 mm per year. The rains occur throughout the year, with a slightly higher intensity in late summer and early autumn. Typical of the western areas of the country are fogs, which intensify in winter.
