Joensuu Art Museum Onni is a regional responsibility museum maintained by the City of Joensuu. The Museum of Art was founded in 1962 and is handled and exhibited by works included in the collection of donations and its own procurement. In addition to the main exhibition, the museum organizes exhibitions of domestic and foreign art annually.
The beginning of the Art Museum was a collection of art donated by Olavi Turtiainen in the Testament of Joensuu. The Art Museum was established thanks to the donation, and then the collections of Arla Cederberg and Onni Okkonen's art collection with libraries and archives were complemented by the collections.
