The Soulages museum is a museum of contemporary art located in Rodez, in the Aveyron, in the Occitanie region.
Built to exhibit works by French painter Pierre Soulages, it also hosts temporary exhibitions by other contemporary artists. It was awarded the "Musée de France" label on December 20, 2005, even before the first stone was laid. It was built on the Plateau du Foirail, at the gateway to the historic center of Rodez and the Notre-Dame Cathedral. The inauguration took place in the presence of the President of the Republic, François Hollande, on May 30, 2014.
