Facts and practical information

L'arche de feu is an artistic realization of Claude Chaussard and André Fournelle, located on the square of the train station in Douai, in the department of Nord, and dating from 2008.

It is a half-arch of titanium, 11 meters high, which was ordered to accompany the creation of line 1 of the tramway. During certain periods of the day, the top of the arch lights up for about 20 seconds every five minutes. It is also surrounded by misters that are triggered from time to time.
