The church of Saint-Pierre de Palavas-les-Flots, located in the center of the village, on the left bank of the canal, was built in 1896 thanks to a subscription, to replace the old village church made of planks, which had become too narrow as the seaside resort grew.

This church is the second oldest monument in Palavas-les-Flots, after the Redoute de Ballestras.
