Synagogue in Bordeaux - the largest and one of the most beautiful synagogues in France, in Bordeaux.
The synagogue was built in 1880-1882 according to the design of the French architect Charles Durand, in the Moorish style. The ceremonial opening of the synagogue took place on September 5, 1882. Thanks to her wonderful architecture, she was an inspiration for other architects, including Eduard Knoblauch, a designer of the new synagogue in Berlin.
