The Saint-Léger church of Saint-Chamas was built from 1660 to 1669 by the Aix architect Pierre Pavillon. The remarkable facade is in the Provencal baroque style. The bell tower on stilts dates from 1730.
The monument was built on a soil of unstable nature, work is funded in 2017 to consolidate the church, renovate the facades, bell tower vaults and stained glass windows.
The church has been listed as a historical monument since 1957.
