Saint Aubin Church, Ennery
Facts and practical information
The Saint-Aubin church is a Catholic church located in Ennery, France.
Unlike most other churches, which combine various architectural styles, the church is not very harmonious in its combination of elements and additions from different periods. In this case, the Romanesque, Early Gothic and Renaissance styles are represented; the Flamboyant style, which is widespread in the region, is missing. The Renaissance ensemble built between 1565 and 1588 is of great homogeneity, but above all the elegant two-story Romanesque bell tower from the second quarter of the 12th century can be considered a masterpiece. The large arcades of the nave, from the second half of the 12th century, are a fine example of the early Gothic style of the Île-de-France region.
The church has been classified as a historical monument since 1911.
