Facts and practical information
The Saint-Pierre de Montbazin church is a Romanesque fortified Catholic church located in Montbazin, in the French department of Hérault and the Occitanie region.
Its apse is decorated with Romanesque frescoes representing Christ Pantocrator inscribed in a mandorla, surrounded on either side by the twelve apostles. The 6 apostles on the left are well preserved. On the right, only one figure remains. These frescoes are very valuable because the region is poor in wall paintings.
