Château de Ragny

The castle of Ragny is an ancient medieval castle located in Savigny-en-Terre-Plaine, in the current department of Yonne. Its history is inseparable from that of the lords of Ragny, whose main stronghold it was.

The present castle, a very extensive building, has been altered and enlarged at various times since the 15th century. The Banque de France became the owner in 1974. The castle became a vacation center managed by the Central Social and Economic Committee until October 2021, when it closed.
