Facts and practical information

The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Marceille is a Catholic basilica of southern Gothic style dedicated to Mary, located in the commune of Limoux. Its black Virgin attracted a pilgrimage that was very popular locally. A miraculous spring, supposed to cure eye ailments, was associated with her.

This basilica has been registered as a historical monument since 1948. The basilica and its surroundings have been registered as natural sites since 1943.
