Espace des Renoir, Essoyes

The Renoir studio is located in Essoyes in Champagne-Ardenne in the French department of Aube, where the painter Auguste Renoir, one of the masters of impressionism, stayed and painted during the summer months between 1888 and 1919.

The Renoir house, in whose garden the Renoir studio is located, has been awarded the Maisons des Illustres label. The workshop and the house are now accessible to the public, as is a cultural center dedicated to the Renoir family, located in the center of the town.
