Facts and practical information
The castle of La Celle is a French castle of Louis XIII style located in the commune of La Celle-les-Bordes near Rambouillet in the department of Yvelines and the region of Île-de-France.
Built around 1610 for Claude de Harville, it was acquired in 1870 by the Duke of Uzes, who also owned the nearby Château de Bonnelles. He made it the center of his hunting team, the "Rallye-Bonnelles", and installed his pack of dogs in the vast kennel. The famous Duchess of Uzès then directed the crew from 1878 until her death. After her, the castle belonged to her grandson, the Duke of Brissac.
