The Château du Marais is a French castle located in the commune of Val-Saint-Germain, near Saint-Chéron, in the former province of Hurepoix, now the department of Essonne and the region of Île-de-France, thirty-six kilometers southwest of Paris.
Built by the architect Jean-Benoît-Vincent Barré for Jean Le Maître de La Martinière, general treasurer of the Artillery and the Engineers, it is considered one of the most remarkable examples of Louis XVI style chateau in the Paris region.
It belonged successively to the families of Noailles, Castellane, Talleyrand-Périgord, Pourtalès and Frotier de Bagneux.
